Waiver of Bond

Waiver of Bond

A Waiver of Bond is a legal document used when a defendant in a criminal case agrees to waive their right to a bond. The waiver must be signed by the defendant and must include the defendant's name, address, and the name of the court in which the case is being heard. It must also include a statement that the defendant is waiving the right to a bond and an acknowledgement of the consequences of doing so. The Waiver of Bond must be signed in the presence of a notary public or other authorized witness.

Once the waiver is signed and notarized, it is legally binding. Waiving the right to a bond may result in the defendant being detained in jail until the case is resolved.
