IRS Form W-2
Form W-2 is an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) form that employers must complete and submit to the IRS each year. This form reports information about wages paid to employees and taxes withheld from those wages. Employers must provide each employee with a copy of this form.
The Form W-2 must be filled out by the employer and includes the employer's name, address, and federal employer identification number. It also includes the total wages paid to the employee in the previous year and the amount of taxes withheld from those wages. This form also includes information about other forms of income received by the employee (such as Social Security benefits or tax-exempt interest income) and the amount of taxes withheld from these income sources. Finally, the form includes information about any deductions or credits that the employee was eligible to receive.
