Form CM-181. Notice of Termination or Modification of Stay
Form CM-181, or the Notice of Termination or Modification of Stay, is an official form created by the U.S. Courts. It is used to inform the court and other parties involved in the proceedings when a stay (pause) in a case has been lifted (ended) or modified.
The parties involved are the movant (the person who requested the stay), the respondent (the person who opposed the stay request), and the court issuing the stay. In order to complete the form, the movant must provide his or her name, the court in which the stay was issued, the case number, and the reason for the termination or modification of the stay.
No additional documents are required when submitting the form. The form must be signed by the movant and by the respondent, as applicable.
It is important to note that the completion of this form does not automatically end or modify a stay. It is merely a notice to the court and other parties that the stay has been terminated or modified by another court.
An alternative to Form CM-181 is Form CM-180, Stipulation and Order to Terminate or Modify the Stay. This form is used by the court to end or modify a stay. The form must be signed by all parties involved and by the court issuing the stay.
Form CM-181 is an important form to have when a stay (pause) in a case has been lifted or modified by another court. It serves to provide the court and other parties involved in the proceedings with notice of the termination or modification of the stay. It is important to ensure that this form is filled out in its entirety and properly filed with the court to ensure that all parties receive notice of the change.
